Charting Stars is a fabulous original story. The main character, Talia begins in Canada but through her magical star painting, she ends up in a new world called The Nine Realms.
The author of Charting Stars and I seem to have similar imaginations, because I enjoy the transition between two different worlds as I have in Elle’s Magical Shoes. It also begins with the Christmas season, the same holiday setting at the beginning of Bellarose and the Beast. Possibly the author, Micheline Ryckman, and I are kindred spirits?
Back to the book review…
Talia and Jarrett, the main characters are super loveable. Actually, all the characters are! If you like cats, there’s a body shifter witch, Drew, that’s perfect as Talia’s protector, but there is more to her than was revealed in this story. This book has all the elements of a perfect teen fantasy that even adults can enjoy. If you like action, imagination, new worlds, romance, characters who discover their strengths and weaknesses, you’ll love this book. I listened to this book on Audilbe and the narrator was fabulous. I don’t think my review can do this book justice, so go ahead and read it yourself.
