“Some books are meant to be lived, not just read.”
A year after barely surviving twisted fairy tales, nineteen-year-old Bella and her friends have sworn off reading fiction in the magical library that once pulled them into deadly stories. But when Hobbes, a shapeshifting catragon, appears with a desperate plea and an old ally threatens to burn their sanctuary to the ground, they face an impossible choice: return to the world where they nearly died or allow an army of dragons to cross into ours. Now powerless and mortal, they must rely on courage, friendship, and the bonds they forged in blood to face their most dangerous adventure yet.
Those who have read The Aerowyn Tales trilogy will recognize that The Dragon Portal is a continuation. There may be some spoilers for those who haven’t read the trilogy. Even though this story takes place after those books, I wrote it to be easy to follow for a new reader. I’m currently writing a standalone novel with Eira the dragon’s backstory to conclude this cliffhanger.
