Elle is forced to live with a group of strangers in a foster home after her family disappears.
One night a blue-haired fairy, Florena, crashes into her bedroom window with a promise that a gift will be delivered to Elle the next day.
The present turns out to be a box full of fairy-made magical shoes Elle must share with just the right people, or the footwear loses its magic. If she chooses correctly, she is promised a mysterious surprise. But where does she begin? What if she fails? Or worse, what if the prize ends up being something she wouldn’t want after all?

Carla wrote Elle’s Magical Shoes for her youngest niece’s twelfth birthday. The story included every one of her niece’s and nephew’s names. This led to the idea for a foster home with multiple pairs of fairy-made magical shoes grew into a book.
Since Carla was ignorant about the possibility to self-publish books through Amazon, she took her DIY Word-crafted book to Office Depot to have copies made. It was more cost efficient to have multiple copies made. A co-worker convinced her that people would buy the extra copies and she sold them at cost with no profit. Since then, Carla has learned MUCH about publishing, editors, and the importance of only presenting a top-quality book to the public.
This original book was the most imperfect book she presented to the public. Eventually, Carla paid an editor and cover designer to publish a more professional version. Since its publication, this book has received more high ratings and reviews than any of Carla’s books.

Elle, the inspiration for this story got married! Someday there maybe be another book in this series centered around her wedding. Ideas brew in Carla’s head constantly.
