Sci-fi September is a thing or at least it is on Instagram. Here are some sci-fi books you can read to celebrate the month.
The Lunar Chronicles are even better because they are sci-fi, fantasy, and fairy tale retellings, a magical combination.
There is a debate about when science fiction was first “invented”. Some manuscripts as early as 1516 have been called a type of this genre. Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein usually gets credit for being the first, but there were several stories before hers that are considered science fiction in their own way.
Does it matter or do you just enjoy watching sci-fi movies and reading the books without knowing the origins? Into the Churn because is set in space and it’s on audiobook!
Science fiction shows us worlds we will probably never experience, but enjoy pretending that some day we could. Some things Star Trek used became real, so it isn’t totally impossible for us to live on another planet in the future. Except, hopefully without all the threats.
